Huawei to Provide Multi-vendor Managed Services for Mobily

Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. (Huawei), a leader in providing next generation telecommunications network solutions for operators worldwide, announced that it has been selected by Mobily, a leading mobile operator in Saudi Arabia, as its managed service partner under a three-year multi-vendor agreement.

Under the terms of agreement, Huawei will be responsible for network operation, back office, field operation, network optimization and spare parts management. In addition, it will be maintaining multi-vendor telecom equipment and acting on behalf of Mobily to manage multi-vendor spare parts and 3rd level support.

"Our support will further allow Mobily to become more market-focused and customer-oriented through service innovation, as well as help Mobily's time to market for such new services," said Liu Peng, Vice President Middle East for Delivery & Service.

Etihad Etisalat Co (Mobily) is a Saudi public company and the second largest mobile operator in Saudi Arabia with 11 million subscribers. It started operation in May 2005, and is described as the fastest growing mobile operator in the Middle East.
